What is the difference between ProfitKeeper and ProfitPortal?
ProfitKeeper is a full service cloud-based accounting solution that is customized for individual franchisee use. ProfitPortal is a dashboard franchisors can access to view aggregated data from ProfitKeeper across the system. Together, the two provide a complete, customizable solution that gives both franchisees and franchisors better financial understanding for more profitable management.
Does ProfitKeeper replace other accounting software?
Yes. ProfitKeeper provides a robust solution that includes all of the features and functions franchisees need to manage their financials and complete required reports for their franchisor.
Is ProfitKeeper secure?
Yes. ProfitKeeper maintains the highest level of security, including secured socket layer (SSL) to encrypt and protect all data. Each user (at the franchisee or franchisor level) can determine who has access to the site, and restrict the information they are allowed to access in order to maintain the level of confidentiality they desire.
How much does ProfitKeeper cost?
Franchisors pay modest costs for customizing ProfitKeeper to fit their specifications. Franchisees can then select either ProfitKeeper Essentials (which may be available to them at no charge) or ProfitKeeper Complete for a low monthly subscription fee.
Are all franchisees required to participate, or can ProfitKeeper be offered as an option to their current solution?
With two service options, we believe that ProfitKeeper has a solution that will fit every franchisee’s needs. However, existing franchisees that can’t switch to ProfitKeeper immediately can still use Financial Reporter at no charge. This reporting solution ensures that franchisors receive the timely, accurate, and consistent data they need for ongoing monitoring and analysis – even if all franchisees aren’t using the ProfitKeeper solution.
Do franchisors have access to individual franchisee site information?
No, franchisors may access the financial statements and limited supporting detail, and may view comparatives for a franchisee location but they do not have access to the franchisees’ individual sites.
How long does it take to get a customized solution for a franchise system set up?
Generally it takes two weeks to complete, review and test the chart of accounts, custom entry screens and themed site.
How do franchisees get set up?
ProfitKeeper provides the franchisor with a customized enrollment site that makes it easier for franchisees to get started. The franchisor simply provides its franchisees with the link to the site, and step-by-step instructions will guide them through the electronic process, which takes 10-15 minutes for the franchisee to complete. Franchisees can also access customer support at ProfitKeeper if they have questions or issues during the enrollment process.
How are franchisees billed?
ProfitKeeper invoices monthly and collects its fees via ACH debit charges.
Can I establish a revenue sharing model with ProfitKeeper?
ProfitKeeper has options for the franchisor or sponsoring organization to be billed directly and has revenue sharing plans that encourage the sponsoring organization to promote the service.
What kind of support does ProfitKeeper provide?
The ProfitKeeper team maintains close contact with the franchisor, even after implementation and training. Personal support and consultation is always just a phone call or email away for both the franchisor and franchisee. Depending on the licensing agreement, support may also include other enhanced training and support components.
Can I private-label the ProfitKeeper solution?
Profitkeeper offers a private label solution that allows an organization to tailor its solution to its members and build brand value.
How does ProfitKeeper incorporate new technology or standards?
Because this is a cloud-based solution, updates and enhancements are easily made – so the ProfitKeeper solution is always current. As technology changes, ProfitKeeper will continue to upgrade and optimize our platform, ensuring that every user has the best possible experience.
Can I speak with other franchisors that are currently using ProfitKeeper?
Yes. After an initial meeting to discuss your business goals, ProfitKeeper will provide you with the contact information for franchisors that have similar needs or situations.
How long does it take to get a franchisee's personalized website up?
It takes 10-15 minutes for a franchisee to electronically set up his personalized ProfitKeeper website.
